Anyone think Miller could be our new blocking tight end? Used to play TE, moved to DE. I'm sure as a DE he learned how to be a lot more aggressive and physical, which could help his blocking ability.

If he plays TE at all, it will more like Vrabel does on the goal line.

Came to OS as a 4 star defensive end. Had a torn achilles though, so redshirted.
Moved to TE as a freshman but tore his achilles again, so didn't do much. Did okay as a TE as a soph but nothing special. Requested a move back to DE as a jr. It was a dire need so it was a good move. Had to learn under fire because the Beavers had nothing but Paea on the DL. Has gotten better over the last two seasons but is still raw. Has a quick first step but still falls for misdirection (should get over that with experience). I wouldn't be surprised if Pioli sees a raw, young Vrabel. I think he will start out as a good special teams player while learning the OLB position (another position change). Is a very good athlete so it will be interesting to see if he can make the transition mentally. |

I wonder if he might play inside.

As most should know, there is always a developmental player the Chiefs draft. In the Patriot/Pioli ways of doing things, OLB/ILB is a common position to see this type of pick.
