2011 Gambling Challenge - Week 11

The betting windows are open for Week 11 wagering!

NOTICE: All bets must be placed by the scheduled kickoff time of each game, not when it actually kicks off. If the time stamp on your post is after the scheduled time, the bet is not accepted. This goes for all games.

PLEASE read the rules here. The number one rule you need to remember is that editing your bets is not allowed and is subject to immediate disqualification.

Remember that you must place a wager every 3 weeks at minimum. If you go without betting for 3 consecutive weeks, you will be disqualified.

The following people must bet this week or be disqualified.

Sfeihc

How to read the lines

Sample line

Thu 9/6 New Orleans Saints +6 +223 OVER 52.5
(Date, VISITING TEAM: Point Spread, Money Line, Over/Under)
7:30 PM Indianapolis Colts -6 -243 UNDER 52.5

(Time, HOME TEAM: Point Spread, Money Line, Over/Under)

How to bet the Money Line

Sample line
SAINTS +223
COLTS -243

First off, a money bet is a straight up win/lose bet. No points involved, so of course there are odds payoffs.

If you want to bet on the Saints, you will win $223 for every $100 that you bet. Conversely, for the Colts, you will win $100 for every $243 that you bet.

In other words, the team with the - money line is the favorite (therefore lower payout) and the team with the + is the under dog.

Placing Bets

PLEASE
, format your bets like this:

Colts (-6) $5000
Chiefs (+142 money) $1000
Chiefs/Texans (Under 38) $2000

Nothing personal, but I hope that everyone except Tebow in a Broncos uniform gets hurt and the Jets curbstomp them.

Can't believe that so many of you thought that the Jets would cover 6 points in any game, let alone on the road vs Jesus.

Yeah, but I would have lost the other bet.

I just didn't have a good feeling about that game. Tough to bet on a road team traveling on a super-short week.

I won by just staying out of the fray - a lot of guys blew a lot of cash on this one.

Thanks for letting me participate again this year, Dart. It's been fun, highlighted by an epic collapse over the last two weeks. The CP lights don't turn on for free, though.
