I have never purchased refurb. But it sounds great, to me.

How is it things become refurb? Are these items that were replaced under warranty or something like that?

Well I took the advice of the majority and ordered it. My own computer buddies seem to think it's a harmless venture given the price. Not exactly glowing encouragement, but good enough to give in to the temptation.

I don't see how you can go wrong at that price, even if netgear isn't the currently preferred major brand.
