Matt Cassel will have breakout year.

Calling it. Too many weapons and a new HC and OC. Gonna happen. If he doesn't... I have to +rep Clay every other day from Wildcard play to the SB (including weekdays).

Here is my prediction,

Casshole will play like shit and get benched during the year.

Chiefs will make a trade soon and get Matt Moore. Moore and Quinn will slug it out for the backup job and Stanzi will still be on the Chiefs roster.

So, Casshole #1
Moore #2
Quinn #3
Stanzi #4

So Moore will come in after Chiefs bench Casshole and Moore will play well. Chiefs will start winning games and he will be the unsung hero and everybody will be praising Matt Moore for saving the Chiefs season and helping them get into the playoffs and helping them finally win a playoff game.

Matt Moore will be the hidden gem. He's the new Rich Gannon of this era. Long love Matt Moore.

I'm not sure that you understand the concept of "unsung hero".

If you can't get the ball to those weapons in a timely wanner and accurately, it doesn't matter.

You can wish and hope all you want. But just watching this guy you can tell how hard things come for him. It's not natural. Watch other NFL QB's/offenses and they just go down the field making it look so smoothly. Matt still looks lost.

Matt and Scott are both going down in flames this season, sub .500 out the door together.

Oh I forgot to mention everybody will be praising Moore except CP because people will complain that Matt Moore wasn't a first round pick and that the Chiefs didn't draft a QB in the first.

Highly improbable. More than likely Cassel has a season approximating his 2010 "pro bowl" year. A fair number of us will still hate him. Pioli's response is about the only variable.

This based on what? Weapons? The issue isn't weapons. The issue is Cassel. What has he done to give you this perspective?

I remember a year when the Chiefs kept 4 QBs. They were Len Dawson, Jacky Lee, Mike Livingston, and John Huarte.

(sigh) Those were good times. That was the 1969 season.

If by "breakout" you mean he will suffer an injury where a shattered bone breaks out of his skin, then I'm on your side.
