Not really.
They're grasping at straws the same as we are. Foles starting as a rookie behind that line would be a 'plan' in the same way us choosing to run a wildcat for the rest of the year would be. This isn't going to work. Frankly I think it's completely insane for a team that believes it can win this year (as the Eagles do). Foles has no prayer behind that line and they're going to have to completely re-vamp their system to deal with a RH quarterback and the reverse progressions on account of it. This isn't a plan, it's a prayer.

However, reversing the progressions won't be too troubling IMO. The progressions are the same if you just flip the play (typically). Here is some old Philly plays that should show that. http://www.footballxos.com/download/...id-Offense.pdf

You think Vick is going to want to come anywhere near Leavenworth again? I don't think so!

I don't think you guys are giving Foles credit.
The guy has a lot of talent and there was a time he was talked about as a high first round pick. |

That being said, I'll reserve judgement until he plays a full game.

But c'mon, the kid isn't ready for prime-time. If he were, he wouldn't have had his draft stock plummet like it did. People thought he was a turnkey QB. When they realized that he'd take a good deal of development, his stock fell into the third round. Well, he still needs that development and behind a swiss-cheese O-Line on a struggling Philly team ain't the place for OTJ training. This seems doomed to fail.

Dude was talked about as a possible first round pick before the season started, and then peoples' opinions turned south. There's a reason why. You can lump him and Osweiler together. I think both guys will fail miserably in the NFL |

If we're going to hire Chip Kelly might as well jump on the Vick bandwagon I don't see a guy in this draft who can run the Oregon offense |

I see Foles as more of a traditional qb that might just use all of his weapons mores than Vick did. No way am I writing the kid off. I think he has a real chance to succeed and not take years to do so.
IMO Reid needs to help the kid with playcalling, though. Misdirection...screens..draws...quick slants and other stuff that can help the OL protect and give the kid time to make good decisions. Flame me all you want, I think he can be their Flacco. |

Andy Reid is a loser....when is he gonna bench himself? Personally wouldnt be able to coach if my son killed himself on my watch. And of course enching the QB when the defense couldn't stop anybody is always a good decision.

He'll be at a disadvantage this week, though, if Jackson is out. |

In addition to the poor o-line, it seems like the offensive scheme compounds problems because all Jackson and to a lesser extent, Maclin, want to do is rund 50 yards downfield to catch the ball. They don't have much of a possession receiver to allow Vick to get rid of the ball quickly. Celek is decent but Vick needs more than one target within 20 yards of the line of scrimmage sometimes.
