You should apply for GM of the Kansas City Chiefs. I hear they're taking applications.

Good luck man. We'll all be rooting for you. Realize everyone here is going to hate you by day 2 and accept that and you'll be fine.

I work in the oilfield industry, I love the work. It's hands on and you have to use your brain. I have to interact with higher ups on a daily basis. The job can be stressful at times, but you have to stay focused as much as possible. I've been doing oilfield work for 6 1/2 years now. There's countless opportunities to move up. I put this together this shop-pot yesterday. This was a good brain teaser, only because the engineer gave me a backwards blue print :-/
This is what I do for living :-)

A bit of a dilemma. Is getting paid to sit around looking good a practical or theoretical job? I would think practical since it is a skill set, but it’s also a skill set I don’t possess so I’m thinking it may be more theoretical, since there is no “whimsical fantasy” option.

From recent discussions with some people, I'm led to believe that the perfect job would be 20 hours per week at triple current salary with no responsibility or accountability and large regular bonus within the first year of service. What in the hell does the boss even do anyway when we're doing all of the work?

I'd rather waste away in a poker room somewhere, and have enough money at the end of the month to buy a burrito from chipotle. Maybe someday be able to afford the extra charge for Guacamole and stop filling my water cup with coke.

Luckily my job falls under all of the categories that I voted on. I've had my share of bad jobs that I've hated...but it's nice to not dread Monday mornings anymore.
