Football Andy Reid - Page 2

What are your guys thought about Reid becoming head coach? Seems there is a lot of talk that he could very well end up in KC now. A lot of people tie Tom Heckert with them as his personnel/GM guy. Of course Reid is the type that wants a lot of power control.

Thoughts?

Then again guys like Reid probably can't sit around the house taking time off to heal. The best way they see fit to re-energize is to find a new start and get back to what they love to do, coach. Sitting around just makes them think of things outside of football and they get bored.

Yea to me the main risk is him not noticing charles. In Philly he had McCoy and severely under-used him. Other than that I think hed be a decent match.

Well, kind of critical that a coach not come in totally dead and burnt out before the season even starts IMO. He looks spent...

Aggressive coach, seems to understand QB position's importance, and is a winner.

We could do worse. Would rather have Brian or Chip Kelly.

A year off? Why would that make any difference? Physical/Mental recovery? Naa...best thing to get your mind off of things is a fresh start. How much fresher can you get than being the next head coach of the kansas city chiefs?

Not sure if you're being serious but, he's only human so taking time off away from the game would give him time to grieve and re-energize allowing him to come back better than ever

After hearing what Clark is looking for in a head coach and his new management structure I almost feel as if he had Reid in mind the whole time.

There's the rub. I think very highly of Reid, but he treats the run game like it's a waste of time, which is a mistake in the long run.

Yea was just watching a clip earlier where he was talking about he knows he needs a change of scenery even if he loved Philly. You can tell he still wants to coach badly.

Oh that would be interesting... to see if he would leave any in his Walrus moustache before practice. Someone in the media would have to ask him what flavor of BBQ was in his stache at the moment.
