I'm sure different people have different opinions, but I've used IPVanish for about 8 months and I'm happy with it. It's not free: it's somewhere between 8 and 10 bucks per month for a subscription. To me it's worth it.

There are free VPN services that you can try out first. I believe BT Guard is one of the more popular ones.

It doesnt matter what your password is, if you're using WEP I can figure it out. Dont want your internet "stolen", use better encryption. And Im not killing anyone's bandwidth, the only way my internet browsing would effect someone's bandwidth is if they were on dial-up...and if that were the case they wouldnt have a router. I dont have to worry about it, but I dont use their connections to pirate anything just browse. They're not really fast enough...I could but Im not very patient when I want something especially a large file. If I wanted to I could though. Never said I was a technical genius, so gfy
