He left before I got here so I know if I don't know his true reasonings then neither do you. I did talk to him on fatchatter and he seemed like rainman to me. Funny and personable. But whatever, if you think he should go **** himself over a message board, then maybe you're illustrating his point.

well dumb shit I didn't really mean I wanted him to go **** himself.

It's an expression of how I felt about his opinion.

Gaz may have been more liked than even Rainman when he left, and he usually had pretty good takes on football. I think he left because, unlike so many on this board, he actually had a life and didn't feel compelled to get bent out of shape arguing with a bunch of losers. He rose above it all. He didn't call people out and call them names or told them to **** off; he just left. I miss him.

I always respected Gaz's opinions, even though I also always believed that he was one of the biggest pussies I've ever encountered.

But he is as wrong as he can be on this.

Teams win games.

But QBs are the difference between good teams and championship teams.

I hear what you are saying, and understand...but I do think the whole "Franchise QB" thing is way over-blown. Hell, Doug Williams, Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, and Jim McMahon won superbowls.

Exhibit E:
Eli Manning: 2010, good-not-great QB; 2011 franchise QB, 2013 Meh QB...

It takes a lot more than a good QB to win a Superbowl, IMHO

Hey Clayton, how you doin'?

I think there is a difference between homer bullshit and legitimate analysis. Just as I think there is a difference between good stats, and garbage time stats. Or good mults, and bad mults. Heh.

The majority of SBs are won by franchise QBs.

Why does this undeniable fact need to beaten into true fan heads every offseason?

No QB? No chance, so there is no "myth" surrounding the importance of a franchise QB.

That said, I haven't given a mother**** about Geno Smith in well over a month. The Chiefs aren't drafting him, and I don't care what ends up happening to him.
