Would you extend Albert?

Say he comes down on his price.

Comes into your office today (no time travel to yesterday allowed, folks). Says he gets the message with the Fisher shit.

He's sorry. Holding a hat in his hand.

"I would like to be a Kansas City Chief if you make me the 8th or 9th best paid LT."

Then he flashes a big smile.

"So what do you say?"

Poll forthcoming for options.

Sign him to top shelf guard money.

If Albert has a brain in his head, he would take that and run with it.

If he waits till next year, teams know he will turn 30 before the season is over and he might not get another chance at a real long term deal.

Back problems are repetitively bad juju...so, Fat Albert, enjoy your life mating with the manatees off the coast of Miami while on the DL.

I have zero interest in extending Albert at this point.

Stephenson or Allen can step up and play RT next year. And honestly, I hope his back gives out on him this year.

Over the course of the day I've become more and more irritated at this delusional jackass and his moron of an agent. Folks - read between the lines here, there is no way this isn't an agent trying to save face after foolishly turning down an offer last year that he won't duplicate this year.

With Matthews and Lewan entering the draft next year and Eugene Monroe almost certainly being a FA as well, next year's tackle class is going to be equally brutal for him.

**** him and his agent so very much. And if I were Reid, LT would be an open competition. If Fisher is even 90% as capable as Albert, I'd play him at his future home and slide Albert's malcontent ass over to RT.

Seriously, this whole saga has just pissed me off something fierce.

Move to RT would make it worth keeping him.

We very well may have the best line in the league if the front office would just stfu a d do a deal. It all starts up front.

You may as well trade him now. There was no point drafting a RT with the #1 overall.

I dont think Albert wants to be here. He knows you need a QB to win in this league.

I'd see how Fisher plays first.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
