On that note, it would be interesting to find out just how hard Condon pushed to get Geno as a client. His reputation as an agent speaks for itself, so it's hard to understand why Geno wouldn't have signed with him.

Don't compare this venture from Jay-Z to the No Limit bullshit. This is a serious business venture. No Limit Sports Management still has their website up on the internet. The agent is an insane fraud. Look at this: http://www.angelfire.com/mo/nolimitp...mitsports.html
Roc Nation Sports will be 1,000 times more professional. |

Risky move by Jay-Z. Odds are that he can only profit with advertising. Especially since the first contract is basically predetermined. If Geno craps his pants, Jay-Z loses big time. It looks like his agency now lives and dies with Geno as he only has a couple of clients. I wouldn't have done it if I were him. You got a quarterback who chokes under pressure playing in the big apple. Even if the Jets were a good team I wouldn't have done it but, I guess it's not like it's Jay-Z's only venture.

This gives Geno Smith street cred in New York.

Diddy does happen to be the one rapper with a greater net worth than Jay-Z. Diddy doesn't have a sports management company though. But it doesn't sound like Geno picked Roc Nation to represent him because of Jay-Z, but rather because this new agency was aggressively pursuing the next QB of a New York NFL franchise.
