He's got a deal in Veagas. Making millions. Way to big for Branson except for a one time show.

Political stuff aside, I enjoy the Jaywalking and Headlines segments infinitely more than seeing Fallon and guests throw cold hot dogs through the mouths of cardboard cut outs of celebs. Maybe that's just this old man talking though. |

I just don't watch the shows anymore. If there was something "really" funny I can watch it on youtube.

Jay Leno is the worst. He's cheese pizza from Pizza Hut. Generic, lowest common denominator stuff. His best bits he stole from other people.

Could care less about Leno or Fallon. Will be odd to see Tonight Show back to NYC. Only mildly interested in seeing how Seth Meyers does.

The advance of cable has been a major part. Prior to that, the hiring of Leno over Letterman also caused a split in viewership. You may be interested in a book called "Night Shift" that examines those tumultuous times.
Or if you prefer, it was also made into an HBO Pictures presentation: |

Not a fan of him in the late night wars, too bland and safe for my tastes. And I'm a Conan guy anyway.
All the love in the world for him as a person. Heard stories of his generosity, not just of money and things, but of time. Couple from Carolla, saw him at an event in NY. Adam had flown there coach, Leno's like 'ehh, just ride back with me.' [ie, on his private jet], not big timing, like they were sharing a Tercel ride home from the Staples Center. Just figured they could chat over brewskies together on his jet since they were going the same way. Always has an open invitation to bring himself and kid twins around to putter around his enormous garage, Jay will walk around with the kids [approx 8 yo] and tell them stories about each of the cars, then let them work on some small project [cleaning a carburetor, or dusting an exterior], just so long as it's fun for them, not as some slave labor thing.
