This year I don't have to fly back home to KC to see my Chiefs, they play in Phoenix. As an added bonus Royals play the DBacks here in Phoenix for the first time in what seems like 200 years in August and I'll be going. I still wanna fly back to catch a game at Arrowhead though. We come back every year to see family and catch a game. With a baby now the grandparents will demand it lol. It's just nice that I get to see two of my teams in driving distance and not as expensive.

My thoughts on my own schedule:

1) Chances are they'll get a primetime game in the first eight weeks of the season.. I'd guess a MNF at San Francisco or San Diego, or an NFL Network game against an AFC opponent.. Maybe Oakland. I'd hesitate to say I'm certain of a prime time game at Levi's Stadium when there still might be a parking situation to deal with. Either way if San Francisco hosts KC in the first four-six weeks of the season, then it's probably the premiere game of the week for CBS at least.

2) That being said, I put the TNF game against Buffalo in November when they've all but spoiled the fact they're playing on Thanksgiving. If that bears out then it's highly unlikely Buffalo plays on consecutive Thursdays.

3) I doubt they'd be rigid with the home/away flip flop from last season to this one. Part of me thinks that Week 17, if it's on the road, will be in Oakland.

I hope we get a home MNF, SNF or TNF game this year. It seems like when we do get a night game we're on the road. It's like the league has us play the part of the homecoming opponent that most assuredly gets their ass kicked.

BTW supposedly the schedule comes out 4/17.

I think that was a tweet from some "insider" in S.F. that the 49ers had been told that it would be SNF vs. Chiefs to open the new stadium.
