People in GoChiefs' Taco John's thread got me to thinking about what fast food places I actually eat at and which ones just get totally ignored by me.

Places I actually eat at:

Chick Fil A
Whataburger
Braums
Taco Villa
Taco Bueno

Places that I never even consider...they don't even cross my mind when I drive past them:
McDonald's
KFC
Taco Bell
Waffle House
Panda Express

What places just go totally ignored by you?

I see a lot of people hating on McD's. I don't eat there very much, but mainly because what you get for the amount you spend simply isn't worth it.

I don't think McD's is any worse for you health wise than every other fast food joint and their fries are delicious.

Chick-fil-a, Burger Thing, off the top of my head. I haven't eaten McDonald's in a while, and think I might be done with it.

I will do Taco Hell, LJS's, KFC, Hardee's and Wendy's on occasion. But usually if I am craving one of those places it's either because I've seen an ad and it's an impulse or there's a deficiency of some kind in my diet (dehydration, salt craving). I'm trying to work on avoiding those.

Places like Culver's and Five Guys I don't really consider 'fast food' in that it's fresh, not processed like the lower-end places. Higher quality, even if it's not technically 'good' for me. I'd also lump places like Chipotle and Panera in there. Let myself do that a couple of times a month.

I'm trying to get myself to try new places, too, treat going to eat more like an occasional reward and new experience rather than something I do a lot.

For me, it isn't about healthy. It's about taste vs value. For example, I would never go to a KFC because I am just not that big of a fan of fried chicken. I also tended to only go to Arby's if they were running a really good special. taco Time was a lot more expensive compared to Taco Bell.

Stuff like that.

Now, I only go to McD's if I am in the mood for a Reeses McFlurry.

Ah yes, Church's. Yeah i avoid that place too. I don't eat much from KFC either aside from their Mashed potatoes.

In-A-Tub. Wife used to go there when she was in high school, talked it up like a mofo when we got together, finally tried it, and it gave the dreadlock clippings for 2 days.

There are plenty that I don't avoid, though, and I'll actively seek out Chick-fil-A if there's one in the area.
