Dog poop

It was an ordinary flight from Los Angeles to Philadelphia until a smell startled passengers.

Passenger Steve McCall could barely believe his eyes and neither could the other passengers aboard U.S. Airways Flight 598. He told INSIDE EDITION’s Diane McInerney, "About an hour into the flight, I started smelling this terrible smell. I look up the aisle way and there's a dog pooping right in the middle of the aisle. It's a big dog, three or four feet tall or long, and he was just going!"

Passenger Chris Law took pictures and tweeted: "So the full-sized dog that's on my flight, well it did what dogs do & went to the bathroom when it felt like it smack dab in the middle of aisle."

The animal is a service dog according to U.S. Airways. The crew did their best to clean up the mess, but, as McCall told McInerney, “An hour later, it still smelled bad, and after they cleaned it all up, it pooped again!"

McInerney asked, "So, how did the passengers react?"

He said,"A couple of people started dry-heaving, a couple of people were throwing up."

Another passenger tweeted: "Can't make this up. The dog has now (blanked) twice."

McCall told McInerney, "The second time after the dog pooped they ran out of paper towels, they didn't have anything else. The pilot comes on the radio, ‘Hey, we have a situation in the back, we're going to have to emergency land!'"

The plane was diverted to Kansas City, Missouri, where a cleaning crew went to work on the second mess.

Before you say "Bad dog!,” consider this: the flight's departure time had been delayed for two hours because of a fuel spill on the tarmac. That's a pretty long time for a dog to be sitting on a plane and the dog's owner was truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by her beloved Bowser.

McCall said, "She said, ‘Hey, so sorry, I want to get all your addresses so I can give you a Starbucks gift card!’ "

McInerney said, "At least you can laugh about it!"

He replied, "This is the most unique flight experience I've ever had!"

I wonder what kind of service animal it is? I don't see a vest and it doesn't look like a seeing dog type of leash in the picture.

In California some people feel that they can bring their dogs into restaurants and grocery stores and then if they are questioned they act offended that you would question their disability.

I am a dog owner and try to be respectful to people who don't like dogs by keeping them out of where food is served and sold.

For 175 dollars-ish your dog can get a service certification

No shit

They even send you a vest that looks semi legit

I think that service animals should be treated like handicapped parking. They must present a city issued vest (parking pass) and be used only for true physical assistance.

In California they claim that they should not be required to have the dog wear a vest because of the stigma involved. WTH? The simple presence of a dog in a restaurant or grocery store is only allowed with a disability.

They are dogs. Not family members. They should not be in restaurant booths eating. If you are in a jam tie them outside and find a seat that you can kep an eye on them.
