Eric Berry NFL.com Interview - Picks his All-NBA NFL team
Quote:
Yeah, a lot of people can't believe it but, on average, NFL players have higher vertical jumps than NBA players. NBA players would likely dominate the NFL WR position if, for some reason, the NBA disbanded and nothing took it's place. Other than that, I don't see them making great TE's or DEs. Those positions are too physical. I mean, look at Lebron right now. Dude is getting carried off the court for ****ing CRAMPS. |

Lebron would absolutely dominate the TE position.. 6'9" 260+ pounders should not be able to move like he does |

Nope. I've never even had a muscle cramp mid-exercise. I've pulled hamstrings, quads, calves and that little muscle that connects your thigh to your trunk and I've never needed to be carried anywhere. |

Dude. A quad/hamstring cramp is ****ing paralyzing. To play through it, you risk worse injury. Frustrating to see a minor injury derail the greatest basketball player on Earth, but it is what it is.
Also, I'm sure he didn't plan on playing game in 90+ temps. Yes, others played in the same conditions and didnt have cramps. Good for them. It wasn't his luck tonight. It in no way makes him a pussy.

I think "pulling" and "cramping" are different. If its a pull, its just sore as shit, and its a dull pain.
Cramps are where your muscle is involuntarily flexing super hard, and repeatedly pulling it.

I never said Lebron should have tried to play through the cramps; I was simply commenting on how extreme it seemed to need to be carried off the court because of them..
According to the Internetz, pulling a muscle is officially called a muscle strain and it involves stretching a muscle to the point that it tears while a muscle cramp is an involuntary contraction of said muscle. Every time I've pulled a muscle, it's been a pretty sharp pain and rendered that particular muscle useless. That initial pain was followed by months-long healing processes. |
