runs a pet sitting business. We take in animals for people who are going out of town or just need someone to watch their animals. Right now we have this dog named Maggie for the weekend. The money is good, but this particular dog can't stand men. I am no exception. I normally get along with every dog that comes through our doors. But not this little bitch. My wife thinks it's somehow my fault that this dog is continuously barking at me and anytime I am close to her she acts like she is going to attack me. Am I wrong for never wanting this demon hound to ever come back?

Try buying a small bag of treats. Keep them on you or in some personal space of yours (glove compartment, dresser drawer, etc.) so that the dog only associates them with you. Talk nicely to the dog, toss a treat on the floor in front of it then walk away. Repeat this over a period of time (one to three days) until it comes up to you begging for treats. At that point you should be able to handle it intuitively. From then on every time the dog is dropped off give it a treat and talk nicely to it the first time it sees you.

This is BULLSHIT ! Put that little shit dog in a crate like SD4chiefs said. And then put the crate in a closet . Or the attic !

We do pretty well with it as a side business. At $25 a night, it can be well worth your while if you have enough customers

Update: I went over to a buddies house last night for some relaxation and time away from the dog. When I got home the wife was nowhere to be found. I called her and she informed me that the hellhound had snapped at her so she decided to take it home where the dog is more comfortable and she can still check up on it twice a day. I guess it wasn't me after all
