Merka, **** yeah!! Gulp that down every 4th of July I'm more concerned about French tabbouleh, no mint parlsey tomato or onion? Good tabbouleh is a GREAT side dish. That's French grits.

Well, aside from obesity issues, fresh food is much healthier and they don't drink milk with the meal either. The fresher the food the more nutrients are intact. They eat local. I was impressed with the whole thing including the recess.

I have heard of the "French" way of feeding children. You give them relatively healthy foods that are the same as in adult meals.

Yeah and try getting a 5 to 10 yo kid to eat potato salad. I like a good dill pickle wedge with my BBQ but not in potato's so kill me.

Doing a quick check these lunches cost parents up to $7 each. Parents in this country would be outraged having to pay anything close to that. Can you imagine the amount of bitching we'd hear from the mom of four kids having to spend well over $100 per week for a school lunch? And they're forced to buy them because bringing food from home is illegal.

They generally eat smaller portions. They are shocked at the size of a steak served in our restaurants. Also, Europeans think our food is flavorless. I think it's how they farm.

A lot of people do use pickles tho'. Generally, potato salad uses more vinegar. |
