Anyone else fired up for Raider week?

Gotta say... I've enjoyed watching the Chiefs for some time. But been a while since I've really loved watching them play. Even the playoff teams last year and in 2010... enjoyed them, but not nearly as much as I like this team.

Let's beat the shit out of some Raidahs!

Exactly! I still get a little pumped for the Raiders games, even when they suck, like now. KC needs to step on their necks and assert their will and the Raiders can flail about all they want, but it won't change anything.

I'm excited for some Chiefs football. I just want to see a game that is played mistake free with excellent execution. Keep oiling the machine until it runs perfectly.

What about when Raiders beat everyone in the AFC West and still didn't win the division.

The last time the Chiefs faced a winless division foe this late in the season was 2000 versus San Diego. Warren Moon was the QB over Todd Collins (IIRC) because Elvis was hurt.

The Chiefs lost to the Chargers that day, giving San Diego their only win that season. I remember it clearly because I was there at the Murph for the game.

Fortunately for all Chiefs fans, I'll be at home Thursday night.

I honestly am not that intense this week. I want the Chiefs to bench Charles and Hali. Give Davis the ball 30 times and play Dee Ford all game. Hell, bench Poe and play Vance Walker all game, too -- it's not like the Raiders can run the ball.

Those are the three players we need preserved against overuse. Hali and Poe have played 140 snaps EACH the past two weeks.

Oakland is last in total offense. First in punting. Go figure.

They are last in sacks so Smith should have time to throw all day.

They are ranked 26th in rush defense. KC is not much better at 24. However, Oakland is dead last in rushing attempts by a large margin. They pass way more and are still 26th at that.

Pressure the rookie consistently and he will turn the ball over for sure at some point. Big game for the secondary.

They are 29th against 3rd down conversions. KC offense is 9th.

I still don't see how we can possibly lose. We role the Raiders.

Seriously, just bench Hali and Poe.

You don't have to respect their run game. Vance Walker can create pressure out of the NT position.

Drop everybody into coverage, and rush Houston/Bailey/Walker/Ford. They should rack up several sacks and get Ford some much needed playing time.

Oakland shouldn't score all day.

On offense, bench Charles.

Run Davis 30 times -- he seems to run his best when he gets a great workload.

It's a scrimmage.

I have never been less excited for a football game.

re: Charles, if we get up 2 scores, take him out.

3 scores, Bowe and Smith.

We should match up very well with Oakland across the board. They don't have the running game to threaten us on the ground. Their WR's are even worse than ours are so our DBs should have no problem as long as they stay disciplined in their coverage.

While they are 26th in total run defense, they are 7th in YPC. Mack leads the team with 21 TFL. Their LBs outside of Mack and Moore are simply terrible and Charles has the speed to beat them outside.

Should be a fun game.

Carr is one of the least sacked QBs in the league. He gets rid of the ball very quickly.
