Post-Draft Chiefs Depth Chart

Not gonna include UDFAs or anyone super under the radar for this, but just trying to put together something to give us a look at what we're working with so far. This doesn't include the entire roster. Rookies are in italics.

QB: Mahomes, Henne, McGloin
RB: Hunt, Ware, West, D. Williams, K. Williams
FB: Sherman
WR: Hill, Watkins, Conley, Robinson, Chesson, DAT, Kemp, Dieter, Braverman
TE: Kelce, Harris, Charles, Wright, Amaro
LT: Fisher, Erving
LG: Ehinger, Witzmann
C: Morse, Devey
RG: LDT, McKenzie
RT: Schwartz
--
LE: Bailey, RNR
NT: X. Williams, Nnadi
RE: Jones, Jenkins
LOLB: Houston, KPass, Nicolas
WILB: Hitchens, Eligwe
MILB: Ragland, Terrance Smith, O'Daniel ($ Backer)
ROLB: Ford, Speaks, Zombo
CB: Fuller, Nelson, Amerson, Reaser, Redmond, Tremon Smith, Lampkin
SS: Berry, Sorensen, Murray
FS: Watts, Golden, McQuay, Sterns

K/P/LS are obvious.

I guess my first takeaway was that this roster is quite a bit deeper in some spots than I can recall it being since Reid got here. It also seems thin in a place or two, but nothing horrific. Thoughts? Concerns?

Now it’s Ford, Houston, Jones can play edge, Kpass year 2 is ready for a role week 1, Nicolas coming back and a high draft pick in Speaks who should play early.
I don't remember Jones playing on the edge last year.

I hope Speaks turns into something.

Just trade for a good young CB and I love this lineup.

And the Broncos pass rush just keeps getting better. They signed undrafted Auburn sack leader Jeff Holland.

I don't think you can set Watts as the starter at FS yet. I believe McQuay is probably the #1 right now, simply because he's the incumbent after Parker's departure. DAT's hold on the #6 WR is pretty tenuous as well. As I remember from last year's preseason, Mahommes had pretty good chemistry with Kemp and Dieter. With 6 OLBs fighting for 4 spots, Zombo and Nicolas better have their chin straps buckled tight.

We’ll probably keep 5 or 6 OLBs. I’d say 5 at minimum.

By the end of the year they had Jones on the edge a lot for passing downs. He’s lost weight too so I’d expect that to only continue.

Sutton will be using a lot of different looks up front I believe.

I hope West is traded instead of Ware - or both.

I think he's (Ware) certainly a half a tier better than the Williams bros. That being said - I AM excited about Kerwynn and Damien.

I think Watts and Golden will offer some very good competition to McQuay at the FS starting spot. Should be healthy for the defense, and leave us some good depth at that position.

I think Sorensen is the starter at FS this year folks.

Also, don't forget the addition of superstar receiver Nelson Spruce.

I’ll probably catch some hell over this but I don’t think Sorensen is all that bad when he actually plays safety and not dime LB.

Wonder if Veach tries to trade for Flowers from the Giants and get him for cheap like he did with Erving. Flowers has been awful but it might be worth another late round pick to see if a new coach can get the talent out of him that made him a top pick. That’s total Veach move
