So my question to you is... IF the Raiders were to be willing to trade him here and IF the Chiefs make a play for him and can pull it off... would you want them to make the move?

Several factors come into play in terms of pros and cons, but he is a gamechanger who is about to be paid QB money when it comes down to it.

What does this even mean?

He’s an exceptional talent. No doubt. But he’s gonna come with a big cap hit because he’d need to be a long-term commitment.

Would I trade for him for a 7th? Yes. Would I trade for him for Mahomes? No. Next year’s first? Yes. Our first in the next two years? No.

He’d be wonderful to have, but whatever we’d realistically need to give up to get him would destroy us when we have a lot of defensive holes and acquiring him would be a major financial commitment.

If we had a chance at getting him for an open market price, we would be insane not to try our hardest. But the Raiders still have enough grasp to make every effort to ensure we overpay, if we were even allowed into the market.

And the entire team is in no shape to way overpay for single pieces.
