Chiefs What's your (way too early) final roster? - Page 2

I know that it's too early. But I thought that this would be good to bump during camp and at final cutdowns. I would imagine that there are still going to be some guys added post June 1 that will be on the roster. But for the most part, our final 53 should come from the current group. Who ya got? Here's mine

Offense

Yes, I know. I only have 51. I'm trying to decide who to put in those spots. Right now, I am thinking that the udfa rookie OT Boyd could end up snagging a spot if he shows well in camp. But we're deeeep at running back. Would they keep 4 plus Sherman? Maybe another wide receiver? I don't know. On defense, it'll be interesting to see if Fields can claim that other spot. I also have Kpass left off. But this defensive scheme could save his career. So, I'm just going to leave those 2 spots open....for now.

I think Darrel Williams is toast. Maybe it's because Thompson and this James Williams dude are the newer, shinier, toys, but I just didn't notice Darrel putting together anything that wowed me in particular. It's one thing to win a training camp battle against Charcandrick West (in his slower, shittier form), but it's another to do that to players with some of the potential and talent of Thompson and Williams.

Have no idea what Spags is going to do on defense.

So many positions are almost completely wide open. I think Thornhill will end up being our other starter Safety. If O'Daniel can stay healthy I think he starts at WLB. If things go well Ragland will get cut.

On offense, we will have a new #3 WR (Hardman will get every chance, Robinson will be the fallback)

A new backup at TE. (I wouldn't be surprised if they end up signing someone else to take the backup spot)

A couple of new backup guys in the mix on the offensive line. I don't really understand the love for Cam Erving. Upgrading LG and C would be ideal but probably unrealistic. (Allegretti has a better than average chance of getting in there somewhere)

That's about it right now.

I think Carlos Hyde will be listed as starter. More of an ego thing though, both he and Williams will get plenty of carries.

Backup Tightend and Linebacker are still an issue. Center makes me nervous.

Uh no. Damien is the starter and rightfully so. Hyde also may not even make the team

Money says Williams start. Hyde was a backup in Cleveland as well. That’s what he is is a career backup. Hyde only got 1 mil guaranteed. He could be like a Amerson if they think a UDFA could do better

Damien Williams was a nobody until last year. His cap number is 1.7m this year if he gets the 16 game bonus if he stays on the roster all year long.

Nah he was a good backup for Miami. More of a receiving threat then a runner. However Damien put the team on his back during the playoffs. Total of 5 TDs with 3 against the Pats
