I think the prevailing theory is that he didn't know that the ball could be advanced after a kickoff fumble. I admit that it takes a little luster off of the play, but it was still a thing of beauty. It's a diamond with one tiny flaw.

I think the reason the Forced fumble right into Darwin's hands is the best for a few reasons.
1) It instantly made you feel it would be a 3 point game within a couple plays. 2) It kinda confirmed the previous scores weren't a fluke, and this was actually a successful turnaround in progress. 3) It was the first play that felt like the Universe (God, fate, karma, whatever you believe in) wanted us to win. The way it popped out and right into Darwin's hands, right near their end zone, right after we had just scored. It was so quick, surprising and perfect. It felt like the universe had just set right the goofs of the first quarter. The Mecole kick return, the Sorenson stopping the fake punt, both felt like players making plays to inch us back. The FF into Darwin's hands felt like fate. Can't explain it any other way. Made me feel like "we for sure are winning" It was our own positive version of Mariotta catching his own tipped pass and the Luck fumble forward TD. |

Kelce’s back to back Gronk spikes while Mahomes was simultaneously sprinting down the field pumping his fists and screaming was some of the most badass shit that I have ever seen.
It was on the third TD (the second Gronk spike) that I knew the Texans had absolutely no chance. We had just gone completely nuclear on offense. |

it was like providence the way that fumbled KO got to Thompson
as if a sunbeam sent from heaven broke through the overcast and shined down on that ball in mid-air to deliver it softly into his hands |

Sorenson's forced fumble on the kickoff. At that point, you realized the Chiefs had a legit shot to win.

I voted TD #1.
Because I knew it was ON. I had no doubt they'd get their shit together, I was just hoping they wouldn't let the hole get too deep. As soon as they scored #1, I knew the comeback was in full swing and the Texans were ****ed. |

The cable cam angle on the kickoff fumble added a lot to watching that play. That was the most exciting single play for me.
One important play under the radar was Chiefs first play after Texans made it 41-31. Seeing a pass past the chains and a 20-yd gain, gave me confidence that Chiefs would continue to play to win.

The Sorenson stop on the fake punt was the most exciting play for me. It's what really got the crowd back into the game and you just knew that we were about to make it a 2 possession game.
Not only was that the most exciting play of the game, but being blessed with the power of hind sight, knowing what happens from that play until the end of the 1st half, it was the biggest play of the game. At that point there was less than 10 minutes left in the half, so if the Texans convert that, then they have momentum on their side and if they have a long sustained drive that takes up 4-5 more minutes and they score a TD, then we very likely go into half time down 31-14. That 90 yard drive was the back-breaker. They knew what was gonna happen when we scored there.

For me, it's a tie between both of Dirty Dan's plays. Both provided an equally high amount of excitement for me.

The Dirty Dan forced fumble. I knew at that point we would only be down 3 points, and that it was most likely over for the Texans.
