He’s won more titles than any other QB because of his longitivtiy. He’s rarely been hurt which is amazing.

Put Brady behind the Chiefs offensive line last night and I am pretty sure he would be in a full body cast today.
All the TB12 steroids cannot blunt the pain from getting brutalized by Andrew Wylie’s man all night long. |

Is the purpose of the NFL to win the SB or to find the most impressive QB performance?

Tom Brady is the GOAT of picking the right team. He knew NE was done and moved on. He made the throws he needed to and knows how to get the PI calls and get in guys heads. He was the one who ran up to Mathieu and started jawing after the TD and goaded him into getting a personal foul. Has Brady ever gotten blown out in a SB?
I love Mahomes, but I think Romo was right. This was his chance to take the throne and it slipped away. Regardless of the bad calls and decimated OL, Mahomes didn’t even get a single TD. We weren’t even competitive. History won’t consider any of the extenuating circumstances. Only that Brady beat Mahomes handily when Brady was an old man and Mahomes was in his prime. I hate it, but that’ll be the narrative for the rest of his career. |

That seems a little over the top. Mahomes hasn't hit his prime, and Brady's not an old man. Last edited by stevieray; 02-08-2021 at 08:35 PM.. |

1a is scoring points
1b is winning Sometimes a QB needs to put up a shitload of points to win Sometimes a QB needs to put their ego in check and manage the game The greats find a way to do both at the same time. |

I believe most of the OP post except the put any QB last night and would have done the same.
I don't believe they would have recognized the defense and hit the open guy like Tom. It does help to have clean pockets he didn't even have to move. His interview on the field helmet off looked like he showered and blow dryed didn't break a sweat.

We can try to minimize who he is and what he has done but I don't buy it. If it makes some feel better drinking their beer and whiskey saying "woulda coulda shoulda" then I don't know what to say. He is the GOAT at this time hands down.
One thing that stood out last night to me was what I saw after the game. Every single teammate of Bradys that walked up and gave him a hug said, "Thank you". I don't think they were thanking him for being an average QB on a stacked team. I think Brady elevated the entire franchise walking into the building secondary to his history of accomplishments and likely his work ethic on and off the field that none of us can see or witness. Thats my guess.

That's a fair point, but then I think of someone like Philip Rivers, who wasn't exactly a freak athlete himself, and he was still never as boring to watch or as soft as Brady. There's just no grit to Brady's game. It's all dink and dunks, and when adversity strikes, he usually gets bailed out by the refs.
