Notable cuts happening around the league

The Bills have released tight end O.J. Howard

The Vikings have waived quarterback Kellen Mond

The Jets have released running back Tevin Coleman

The Dolphins have cut wide receiver Preston Williams

The Browns have released quarterback Josh Rosen

The Buccaneers have waived wide receiver Tyler Johnson

The Patriots have released tight end Devin Asiasi

The Vikings giving up on Mond within a year seems kinda crazy.

Howard was a what top 13 pick? It was all about natural talent he was never really great at Bama he had a great NC game...then 2 years ago he blew his achillies and he's just not the same guy anymore.

Howards game was always about being the biggest fastest guy at the spot so no one could cover him, he doesn't have it anymore.

Good thought, especially with Bell out.

I love Fortson as the #2 going forward, but he was hurt last year, and Howard has experience.

Kick the tires, show youngsters the ropes, lunch pail etc etc

SIGN THIS POS VEEEEOTCH!

Devin Asiasi fits the "Bell" role better if you're looking for someone to take that role.

Somehow I didn't know the achilles tidbit, I had thought he just never caught on anywhere and still had the natural talent I remember from Bama.

What do you think about a scrap heap QB upgrade(mond, rosen)? I personally dislike both our backup QBs, and really liked Mond coming into the draft last year.

Tampa gave up on him because of the achillies, they chose Cameron Brate over him..he got beat out in Buffalo by a 7th round pick...

I dunno the people in Minnesota think Mond is TERRIBLE, last year they signed Sean Mannion at the end of preseason and a reporter quote was "We know Mannion is bad but that's an upgrade over Mond" Or when a reporter asked Zimmer if he'd like to get a look at Mond in the last game and he said "I've seen him"

Basically everything out of there from everyone was Mond looked like he'd never played football before and was just terrible.

Washington cut TE Kendall Blanton who both Washington and KC claimed about a week ago when the rams waived him so he’s available again if they want to put in a claim again

I've seen that too about Mond, and it baffles me. My old roommate(a SF fan) was watching a buttload of tape on 2021 QBs before they drafted Lance, and we both thought Mond showed serious potential. I wonder if that's something Andy could develop this year to make him into a pinch guy for us in the future, because I really think Beuchele is garbage.

The Wyatt Davis one is weird, Minnesota has a shitty OL,Davis had a ton of hype before and going into that draft as a possible first round guard..he fell they got him and now he's cut a year in...I know it's a new regime but an Ohio State guard is cut after a year when basically everyone that graded him thought he was a possible 1st rounder?

Something there just doesn't add up at all.

Mond was pretty bad in college, so I'm not surprised at all that he's not making it in the NFL.

Those guys all suck or are washed. No surprise in that group. Johnson and Williams are okay, but are a dime a dozen type WR.

Damn. If we didn't already have so much depth at TE and WR I'd love to grab Preston and Howard.

Trade Henne to Dallas for a late round pick. Or Trevon Diggs, whichever.
