YouTube starts charging money?
It said that I used Ad blocker to block the ads so I can't watch anything on Youtube now. Ineed to pay $15 for the premium Youtube per month. Does it happen to you guys?

In chrome, when you click the three dots in the upper right, it brings up a series of options. The top is 'new tab' the next one is 'new incognito tab'. You click that, opening up an incognito browser where you're logged out of everything and your search history isn't stored. Then just paste the link of the YouTube video there and it will work.

Other browsers might call it something else like 'privacy'. But all I'm talking about is the type of browser tab where your history doesn't get logged on your local device. They all have that.

It's slightly annoying but I'm not gonna give a dime, direct or indirect, to a big tech company that so actively pushes Marxist propaganda and so actively cancels people and content that don't support the current thing. Not a dime.

When the youtube gives a survey instead of an add, I ask Alexa to pick a number between one and five. Whatever she picks is what I select. I also try not to buy products that I see advertised on Youtube.

I easily spend more hours watching YouTube than all other streaming services combined, so I just pay for Premium. It's jarring when I am on a different computer and suddenly have ads showing up.

Not true. It will only allow you to close the window for a short time period. Then it gives you a 3 strike prompt. After that, your only available options are to disable adblock or pay for Premium.

Same here. I have a family plan for YouTube and it's one of my very few monthly fees outside of phone, internet and YouTube TV.

But the number of sites that want you to register or turn off your add blocker or have content behind a paywall is annoying.

No, I'm not going to do those things or fight them, I'll just go to a different site.

I wish there was an anonymous micro payment system.

I might be willing to pay a newspaper site a few pennies for a one off story that Google directs me to. I would rather do that than register or have annoying adds.

Same here.

The main reason I did is so I can listen from my phone and not have to play video. Save juice while working.


But, when my kids are watching something I go "WTF?!", the ads are terrible.

I've threatened their well being when they try to use my sign-on to watch videos. If they do it will **** up my suggested videos, I'll have nothing but Roblox and Minecraft shit being suggested.

I don't think the family plan is a lot more than individual. Haven't checked recently.

I actually created a fake Google account just so I could watch YouTube videos that were outside my norm, like if my mom asks me a health question for a random example or YouTube travel plans, without screwing up my main account.

But I hate how Google has changed the recommendation algorithm the last 5+ years. For instance my music recommendations seem narrower, but the it insists in recommending political crap that I never, ever watch on my main account.

Not one political view ever in years of watching on that account but almost every time I go to YouTube it will give me that option.
