Yep, they would be gassed by the end of the first two drives.

I suppose it’s possible in the same way that sometimes
An NFL team can take a dude that only played basketball and turn him into a stud football player, but those are few and far between (guys that only played another sport and transitioned to a NFL player). Off the top of my head the biggest issues would be dealing with speed rushers with moves and developing the stamina to play an hour. Most Sumo matches are like a couple of minutes at longest. |

A few teams have tried it in the past and it never worked out. Last time was probably 20+ years ago, though.

Yep, I read that Al Davis tried years back but the two major issues he faced were that the sumo wrestlers didn’t have the conditioning to finish a 60-minute game and the NFL couldn’t offer them more money than what they were making in Japan so that ended things.

Good luck stopping a DE with your rear leg kicked back at least 45° during the entire play.
No, sumo wrestlers would have no chance. |

Well I'm pretty sure an international player does not count towards roster limit correct?
So just sign about 10-15 Sumo's and rotate them in and out haha Last edited by Balto; 05-08-2024 at 09:51 AM.. |

Also, the overall roster size increases by that one player but the game day roster is still the same size of active players. |

I don't know what these Sumo naysayers are seeing, that little fat guy stonewalled an elite professional NFL player (and an alpha). I'd sign at least two, probably three. Google search shows that they only make about 150K a year.
