Andy Dalton threw for 332 yards in his 2nd game.

Yup, the bar is set.

I was talking about Foles getting that kind of leash, when we could have taken a rookie as they come into the league more ready than ever.

Dalton has posted two winning seasons, thrown for 7000 yards, posted a nearly 2:1 TD/INT ratio, and made the playoffs twice in the Steelers and Ravens division. I've said it earlier but we would be extremely lucky if any of these QBs has that kind of success.

You guys are sticking to the Dalton name, when all I meant was a second round rookie. You are actually proving my point.

Why trade for someone when we can get a rookie to do that?

Because none of these rookies are as good as Nick Foles!

Plus we have to draft an OL.

You can't necessarily get a rookie to do that. That's a pretty high bar to set. Cam Newton didn't do it. Jake Locker didn't do it. Ponder didn't do it. Freeman didn't do it. Bradford didn't do it.

What?

Cam Newton threw for 400 yards in his first game.

If we trade for Foles, he will be compared to the best QB from this class his whole career.

That's fair.

I was referring to my previous post. Read. None of those guys have done all of those things Dalton has done.

If we pass on Geno, he is gonna blow the **** up as a Raider.

I can't stomach that.

No he's not. Even if he's talented, the Raiders will ruin him. They don't have the staff to develop a QB.

After reading about all of his history with Chip Kelly, I don't think he makes it past the Eagles at 4.

Throw for 3500 yards in a year with a 2:1 TD ratio?
