Really? Well, Cya I guess

I see some overly clever mod has decided to change my username and profile picture. I understand this is CP tradition of a kind, but not one I have ever participated in. I have never changed my username, and never will.

Nor will I participate on the board when someone changes mine. The mods are of course well within their rights to change my name, and profile pic and I am well within mine to "vote with my feet".

There was a thread on this before. Some kind of glitch had caused some usernames (including mine) to be changed. I posted something just like this, and of course had to pay the inevitable price when it turned out that it had nothing to do with the mods.

If this is in fact goodbye, then best of luck to the Chiefs whenever they play the Donx or Raiders. It's been a fun decade of discussion and arguments. And, of course, GO PATRIOTS!!

(Yes, yes, "wow, what a whiny crybaby." Bottom line, I don't mess with mods, couldn't even name most of them, and don't expect them to mess with me -- just as they haven't for a dozen years....until now).

I think it is - but it's cheating the system - don't worry he'll get by with it.

You've referred to other posters with Droopy Dog's voice. At least one time in the last few months. Probably in a roast.

Meh, I don't think it's your fault at all, I suspect he was growing tired of the poo-flinging towards the Patriots and used this as a convenient excuse to leave.

That's a very good point. I thought the fact it was coming from me wouldn't affect him this way. I'm starting to think he was just tired of listening to his team get blasted.

Dude, don't put this on yourself 34,000 posts on CP? You don't last that long around here with thin skin. It was funny, he should worn it as a badge of honor.

That is very generous of all of you, and I like him. I hope he comes back.

Buuuuut the man had no problem being a part of a community that participated in this. Other than his public outrage the first time; which I don't even remember, I can't remember him ever picking up one of our fallen soldiers and fighting for their returned user names.

You can be part of a gang without participating in it's nefarious activities. But you don't get to be all HEY HEY HEY IM GETTING SHOT OVER HERE.

Maybe that's why he left.
