The MIA Heat Show Thread

LA will be dethroned. The LAC Lake Show will be dead. So it's time to create a thread to follow the new dynasty.

Going on tour starting this October.

I think it's pretty apparent that winning championships, although nice, is really an ancillary concern for LeBron. It seems to be far more about the lifestyle. South Beach, no income tax, cushy jobs for your buddies, etc.

If he was concerned about his legacy, he should have gone to Chicago.

But this is one of the problems that arises when you are surrounded by sycophants who coddle you: not only do you lack self awareness, but you don't want to challenge yourself.

Some Heat fan will likely have the nerve to say that the C and PG positions were garbage, but no one can dispute that LeBron has played with talent again.
This was a complete scumbag decision, but I don't think anyone can look at that Cavs team and say that he was surrounded by talent.

That team is going to win 22 games next year.

People are setting up far too many false binaries here.

He's still an incredibly talented player. He's gonna go down as one of the ten best players of all time. The problem is that he's not going to end up as 1 or 1a because he doesn't want it enough, and he's bought into his own cult of personality so much that he thinks that he can treat anyone like shit without consequences.

so you think it would be easier to win championships in chicago and then say he doesnt want to challenge himself in the same post?

It would be easier, because the roster is constructed better, but he'd have to be willing to be the guy who took over at crunch time. I don't think he has those guts. He doesn't want to be the Alpha Dog.

You argue like a woman.

Check that. You argue like a stupid woman.

honestly i think this IS all about winning to him. he knows he needs the championships. he HAS to get not one but multiple rings.

i think people are looking at this the wrong way if they think differently.

did we hear anything about his supposed demands to these suitors before the signings? nope.

some of this is probably true but some just sound like jilted lovers.

We also didn't hear how the Cavs were wiping his ass at every turn, so we can logically assume that other organizations had plenty of Charmin on hand.

See, I do agree that he's talented. However, his reluctance to constantly evolve his game, and have that killer instinct will never have him in the top 10.

I do agree that the Cavs team is junk now, but all of the players they brought in to help him, have regressed playing with him. I don't know if that's a coincidence, but they've tried upgrading the last few years and the end result has been the same.

You're spot on about how he cares more about hooking his buddies up than truly mastering his craft.

This isn't about winning. It's about comfort and money. He makes more in South Beach than he would even in Cleveland. People forget that Florida has no state income tax.

Winning is the ruse painted over this cowardly decision by morons like Dan Lebreerun, and that wildly contradictory article he wrote.

He wanted the most money over the greatest number of years: with the absence of the tax, he got it.

He wanted cush jobs for his clingers and parasites. He got it

He wanted someone who could take the shot in the clutch. He got it.

LeBron has everything anyone could ever be blessed with to be the greatest at their profession that no one has, and he lacks the one thing that many have: the desire to do whatever it takes while shouldering the burden to be the best.

Spot on.

LeBron can defer during crunch time with the Heat. Wade has that killer instinct. However, in Chicago, he had to be the man in the clutch because Rose, Boozer, Noah and Deng would all defer to him.

Yes, all of these organizations are enabling LeBron's shortcomings.
