3 corners is an awful lot in one class.

Robinson is a nice example of bet on da weed guy, but I would of liked to seen WR addressed earlier.

Hogan is a fine prospect to develop into a back up. They better hope Murray is ready if tinyhands goes down.

Taking the pregnant woman beater is baffling.

Hate the OL choice.

I'm not too enthrilled with this draft, but its not lile it was a disaster either.
What's with the knock on Britt Reid? Jaye Howard credited Britt for teaching him technique that made him better. They kept Brasher on special projects probably because he's old, so I'm sure the Chiefs will still lean on him to coach a guy like Jones up. I'm perfectly comfortable with putting Jones in the hands of our coaching staff, just as I love the idea of giving Emmett Thomas players to work with. Our D-backs and D-line coaches have crushed it the past few years.

Everyone knew that the draft was really deep this year and Dorsey was talking out of his ass when he said that the loss of the 3rd round pick didn't change his draft plans.

We got a very strong talent at DL, steal at CB, a technical G who probably needs more strength and some solid role players.

Eric Murray and Dadi Nicolas are criminally underrated IMO. I think they can be decent role players this year.

Dorsey solidified his options in the draft by trading back and adding two picks in the 4th along with a pick in the 5th and 6th.

This draft was so deep defensively that it pushed back players that would have gone a round or two higher in other drafts, especially 2013. It's pretty clear that he selects players that fit his offensive and defensive systems and he's not reaching for players that don't fit.

Regardless, the level of competition on the roster increased yesterday which is a great thing for the franchise, although I'll be surprised if more than half the players added make the 53, as there are so few open spots.

This draft, and this offseason for that matter has highlighted Dorsey's weakness as a GM.

He is not good at strategically maneuvering to land impact players in free agency or the draft.

He is competent at closing the deal to sign/draft a player who the Chiefs want/need when the player is readily available and when the Chiefs have the salary cap room, but when the situation is more complicated (i.e. the Chiefs don't have the immediate salary cap room or other teams are trading up in the draft to land players the Chiefs covet), Dorsey too often appears to be outmaneuvered.

The Chiefs had a tradable commodity in Jamaal Charles this offseason that would have netted Chiefs draft picks and would have freed up needed salary cap space, yet it seems like the Chiefs never seriously considered aggressively trying to see what type of market was available for Charles.

Also if all of the reports are true, it appears that the Chiefs were seriously outmaneuvered in the draft for players that they coveted, with other teams trading up to draft these players the Chiefs reportedly wanted.

Older RB coming off of his second ACL surgery. Yeah, real hot commodity.

See the 2014 offseason/season.

Dorsey didn't find a way to aggressively or creatively maximize opportunities to add impact players when the Chiefs had limited salary cap space.

The result was a season with no playoffs when all the of the Chiefs flaws were on full display that Dorsey failed to address.

This offseason is shaping up as a duplicate of the 2014 offseason and probably season as well.

Did we not fill a huge hole at RT with the best the NFL has to offer in Mitchell Schwartz?

Did we not find a way to keep more of our guys than we thought we could?

"There is no trade market for Jamaal Charles".

So says the dumbshits who live in Dorsey's small box of potential offseason strategy.

I was wondering about Charles. Guessing they couldn't get the value for him they wanted. Would have liked to have some more cap space and picks.

As far as Charles, it seems clear they are eyeing this year as one where a deep playoff run is in the cards and they wanted their most explosive offensive player to be here for it

It would've been a terrible mistake to let him go for a few picks IMO

I bet there was a market, but I'd imagine something like a 4th round pick.

Always better to move a guy a year early than a year late. The wall is coming for charles. He's still a good player, hopefully, but moving him wasn't the worst idea

What have the Chiefs done to effectively replace Sean Smith? See the Chiefs pass defense last year without Sean Smith.

What have the Chiefs done to effectively ensure they can still generate a consistent pass rush without a healthy Justin Houston? See the Chiefs last year, especially in the Patriots playoff game without a healthy Justin Houston.
