No, it wasn't overblown. It was widley noted by many NFL officials. Even the members on here were having fun with that issue.

I really like the Jets draft.

Sanchez and Shonne Green are great picks.

If someone listed 3-4 DE's for this draft Jackson and Gilbert would have probably been 1-2 so weird to see them make that pass.

Gilbert is who I wanted. MaGee is a little shorter and heavier so he's probably stronger at the point of attack, but Gilbert is more explosive.

Did you see that video of him jumping out of the pool?

It was pretty nuts.

Yeah, it's fun to laugh at fatties. However, NFL lineman are fat and training camp is for getting in shape.

Sounds like a big, tough, smart football player, ala the Pats system:

Overview The consummate team player, Magee volunteered to move to defensive end from his familiar defensive tackle position when injuries depleted the depth at that position in 2008. Learning a new position was sort of a baptism under fire for the former right tackle who also had to switch sides, moving over to left end.

While his numbers did not stand out like in previous seasons, he also provided valuable leadership for a young, but inexperienced defensive unit in head coach Joe Tiller's final season. It was Magee's task to serve as the unit's policeman, making sure that everyone was positioned right and knew their assignments. Policing the defense was appropriate for the senior, who hopes to one day work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation or the Drug Enforcement Agency.

Yeah, I did read a scouting report that had Jackson and MaGee as the top 1-2 5-techniques in the draft. Gilbert would have been more exciting, IMO. Pioli's specialty should be the DL, so we'll see.
