****2015 March Madness thread****

I'll probably find the time to keep daily updated brackets in the thread. In the mean time, who do you have winning it all? Kentucky a lock? Teams lose. So I don't think so. I truly believe undefeated hurts you going into The Dance.

Virginia's head coach Tony Bennett comes from Wazzu and I remember being happy the day he left even though I wondered why Virginia? Not rooting for them. I really don't know.

I expect Kansas to not make the sweet 16 potentially. Definitely not a championship contender (which would make it all the sweeter should they defy the odds).

Guards put you over the top, they handle the ball... but it's not a coincidence Kentucky, Wisconsin and Duke all got to the end. If you have elite big men it gives you a huge advantage.

Remember the two current NBA All-Star bigs who led the last back to back NCAA champions?

There is no one way to succeed at this.

Just because a big slow white guy made him look bad doesn't mean all big men are worthless. Koenig and Jackson didn't make Wisconsin go. The big ugly white guy did. If the refs get out of the way I could say the very same thing about big men.

What Self really lacks is a guy like Robinson that can and and defeat double teams in the block. It helps that nobody in the country could stay in front of Tyshawn Taylor, but I promise you if TRob were on the 2015 team there would be a lot happier KU fans.

It's vitale what do you expect? If they'd have lost in the first round he still would have said it.

Pondering that very question earlier, I learned that in 1942 the University of Colorado went to the final four under a coach named Frosty Cox, aptly enough.

He later coached in Montana, where they probably get even frostier.

Yeah but even for him that's a pretty brash statement.

K passed a Wooden but that happened back in 2010. The question is where he ranks with Auerbach, Lombardi and Bellichek.

Wisconsin players are in shock today, as they assumed one had to attend a Duke Lacrosse party to get screwed so badly.
