We should have taking care of business. We missed meatball after meatball. Jay/Freese/Delcaso are dead weight. The whole team went out of their way to support Wong. That was just one play out of many we missed or should have made. I'd still put Wong at 2B and move Carp to 3B. Freese is killing us. Wong can ground out to the SS just as well. Maybe with speed he can make them rush a throw, beat a throw. Robinson better be in the lineup tonight. That will help.

My thought as well, but it isn't happening, at least not tonight. Robinson is starting though, so there's some progress I guess. I don't get why the Wong for Freese swap in the lineup hasn't been made yet. Better defense all-around, speed infused into the lineup, and the hitting can't get any worse than Freese has been right now. Am I missing something here?

Freese is just not even seeing the ball. How can he hit the ball successfully.

MLB network pre game stuff showed Shelby Miller running the stairs at Busch. He was taking them 2 at a time like it was nothing. Just bounding up the stairs. He didn't even look like he was putting in any effort.

Yeah, I don't understand not utilizing him AT ALL when he's been on the roster. And I doubt we'll ever get an explanation on it either. I also saw something else online that was supposedly on MLB Network, so maybe you can confirm this, but someone on a different forum said it showed Craig out there today taking grounders at first. So maybe he could be a late add into the lineup, not likely but who knows....

Sadly, I think we're done. It's just a matter of whether we lose in 6 or 7.

Robinson hitting #2 makes no sense. But when you put it in the context of Matheny being the one making that decision, it does make sense.

I think he just wants to move the most productive hitter into the clean up spot since Adams is not hitting. Who else would you move to the 2 spot? Kozma LOL

If the Cards win tonight, I think they can take it. This Sox team still just doesn't scare me. Both of these teams have taken turns giving games away. Give us a lead and 2 shots at it in Boston and I think we get one of them. The Sox still struggle with fastballs and we still have a lot of guys that throw them. Their manager is as dumb as ours is so we're not going to get outfoxed. I've not given up hope yet, but talk to me in 6 hours...

Maybe Holliday can get something to smash with Beltran behind him.
