I'm not getting into a fruitless LeBron/MJ thing, though. I've seen and could make decent cases for either one's career being better than the other (which would also probably make them the GOAT as well). It's a hard comparison, though, consider how different the two were/are as players and how much better Jordan's teams were than the teams LeBron has played on for almost the entirety of his career. I appreciate both.
I'll always say that Jordan was the best player in NBA history, but I don't think that it's fair to compare James to him, different player, really different era.

Jordan was the best of his time.

LBJ is the best of this more modern generation.

The thing is though, Jordan was a phenomenal player in a NBA that allowed a lot more contact than today's NBA, I don't think that I have to mention the level of talent in the NBA at the time, he was still unstoppable. Imagining him in today's NBA, it would be easier than stealing candy from a baby for him.

How is it nonsense? You are comparing an elite player against an elite player. Two players who will end up a clear number 1 or 2. Should we ignore that hrs turnover prone and not a great free throw shooter in big moments? Should we excuse shot selection like the horrible one he took today? I've said he'll easily end his career as the second best of all time. But sorry, MJ is the greatest closer of any sport all time. It's not an insult to call LeBron the second goat.

Basing everything you believe off of stats is how you wind up believing Justin Upton for Christian Colon is an even trade.

I think you forget what condition the cavs were in before he got there. He took a huge risk to come back to Cleveland

Kyrie Irving and the #1 pick in a draft with 2 very good players at the top. Guess Im not seeing the risk

There is your big 3 and fill the rest with role players. Or move the pick for an all-star like they did. And they are in the East. He knew what he was doing.

Kobe remains the best player since MJ. 5-2 in finals is better than 2-4, especially for someone called the ****ing KING!!! If Kobe had shot 38 times and lost the media would be all over him

Complete unknown at coach. The worst defense in the nba. Very young roster. Everyone said that even with love, they were favorites to win the east, but we're a long way from being championship contenders. Any team would have wanted LeBron.

There were a lot more opportunities to go to a team that wanted to win now. Hell, the heat barely missed the playoffs. Are you telling me that team wasn't just as good of a win now option?

Let's also not forget he joined the team before knowing mozgov, Shumpert, and Jr Smith were options
