I finished 1200 calories under my goal for today.

Can admit I'm already feeling better.

If I'm reading the jacked up formatting right, you had 21 g of carbs, even with the milk.

That's ketogenic.

BTW, I would increase the protein quite a bit if you are going to stay that low carb. You'll lose muscle otherwise.

I hate to break this to you but if you're doing Keto, Milk's gotta go.

Switch to Almond Milk.

Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla.

I thought half and half would be better, but apparently not. I live in Hillbilly Hollywood. That shit is hard to find. I don't like it black but I can deal with it. Honestly though, I'm not sure I am keto. I'm drinking diet soda, and using sweet and low. I may be more carb controlled.

Saul is right though. It's pretty nasty by itself.

8oz of milk isn't going to make or break keto. I've seen keto guys down 16oz gatorade during lifting and still show trace amounts on ketostix. The <50g day rule is just something to shoot for, it really depends on your activity level.

I hit 279.4 today (broke 280!!!) and that is after a gigantic meal at lunch today where I ate a steak, a chicken breast, a baked potato, and a dinner roll. That said, it is also the only thing I have eaten today. I am working in a series of goals.

Started working on this as of 6/10 and began at 317:

1st goal - 270 by my birthday which is in 4 weeks. (I'm on track!!!)
2nd goal - 245 by the end of the year
3rd goal - 220 by March 2013
4th goal - 205 by June 2013 (begin weight training)
5th goal - 215 (+10lb muscle) by September 2013
6th goal - 225 (+10lb muscle) by end of 2013
7th goal - 235 (+10lb muscle) by May 2014

If that's the case, it's hard for me to imagine a guy that short, pushing 60, going from 205 to 235 with solid muscle. You'd literally need to be more like 125 to 155 to do something like that.

Yeah. That old timer will probably die from all of this. He's just way too old to be working this hard.

The height may be correct, but he most certainly is not 56...

edit I am roughly following the same plan I did when I decided to enlist all those years ago... I am just starting out at a much higher weight then I did back then. I don't know if I am still capable of it but I was able to put on about 10lb of muscle in about 120 days. I was going off the same small sample but the goals are all adjustable other than what I want the final result to be. It may take me out to 2015 to do it but damn it... I will.
