The MIA Heat Show Thread

LA will be dethroned. The LAC Lake Show will be dead. So it's time to create a thread to follow the new dynasty.

Going on tour starting this October.

You're spot on about how he cares more about hooking his buddies up than truly mastering his craft.
He's gonna end up with 35,000 career points, 10,000 rebounds, and 10,000 assists.

He'll basically be the Wilt of perimeter players. As disappointing as it is relative to what he could have been, he'll pick up a title or two and go down as one of the ten best who ever played.

If LeBron really cared about winning, he wouldn't have agreed to a sign and trade. That sixth year was about ego, and those draft picks could fill the back end of that roster.

He also could have mandated that Bosh take max money, but only for five years so that Miami didn't have to give up a lottery pick in order to sign and trade.

it is clear that lebron wants to be pippen, not jordan...

it is sad with his talent....but i guess at least he's being honest...he wants to be #2....

i've always liked wade, and i'd be happy for him to win another title but i'm starting to hope that lebron never wins one...

This is the greatest idea I've ever heard:

If I'm Cavs owner Dan Gilbert I immediately look at the schedule for when the Heat come to town the first time. I then arrange a ceremony where they retire jersey #23. Even have LeBron help raise it into the rafters. Do it up right and honor the accomplishments. I'd have an emotional speech put together honoring all the ups and downs that they've seen; bring up all the heartbreaks and near misses in the playoffs and regular season.

The name on the back of the jersey? Jordan.

He has an opt out after four years. It enables him to get another max contract while still in his prime, and that will allow him to get another max deal after that.

It's not exactly tough to figure out.

Either you take five years at a higher salary, or I go to Chicago with Boozer and you win 50 games every year and get bounced in the second round.

as a bulls fan, this may be a GOOD thing for rose--he has all the talent in the world, and has (at times) shown the killer instinct to demand that last shot. with lebron, it wouldn't have grown like it will without him.

They may very well win some titles, but not this year. I just don't see that much talent gelling in the first year.

And I agree about LeBron chickening out of being the man. He could've made his own legacy if he went to any of the other five teams, IMO, but he chose to piggy back his way to a championship (if he ever wins it). I didn't fully realize until after the chaos of where he was going to sign how much of a douche he really is. Like everyone else, I hope he fails. I like D-Wade, but I don't want LeBron winning a title. LeBron made Kobe look like a humble, down to earth guy. I'm still kind of wowed by it.
