Would a move rattle Gordon's fragile psyche? That's the biggest question?

What's clear is that an order with Lough, Cain, and Dyson would be better than adding Frenchy/Moose in any capacity.

There's just too many ****ing holes right now. 3rd? Sucks. 2nd? Sucks.

well considering we already had the discussion and Duncan posted stats to prove how meaningless good defense is at LF if we're moving an .800 .OPS guy to take over for a .500 OPS guy

and gunned down?! How many people has he 'gunned' down this year?

I'm willing to bet it is less than 5.

That's the part of the reason why I don't make that move, because Gordon has became a solid LF for the Royals, and there's no need to move him at this point. If Gordon was 30+ something, then I can see that side of the view, but other than that, it's pointless.

You can find a better 3rd baseman by looking at the FA market or making a small trade for one, than having to deal with moving one of your best defenders.

I think we are just fine with Dyson on the bench. He isnt a great defensive OF'r. He isnt a great bat (I think he will get exposed and plummet if he is in there every day).

The best use for Dyson is to have an instant stolen base late in games, especially given that 1) we play close games every night, and 2) one of our best hitters runs like he has a piano strpped to his back.

I agree that Dyson is ideally a 4th outfielder. In many respects, I think he's the most overrated player on the team.

However, we have absolutely ****ing nothing at 3rd and 2nd, and RF is worse still if Lough isn't playing.

For as much as ballwashers like Hud talk about depth, the Royals have absolutely none.

right now...

the biggest hole in our lineup is 3B

if they want to platoon Gordon/Tejada at 3rd and play Dyson in left during games Gordon is at 3rd to get Moose back in AAA...

that's probably a GREAT ****ing option for our team

and we should be thrilled we have that versatility with Gordon.
