2014-2015 NHL Offseason/Regular Season Thread

Free Agency starts today. I'm probably the worst candidate to keep up an OP with player movement and the like, but figured it would be cool to have a repository for all things NHL leading up to next season.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anaheim acquires Kesler from Canucks for Bonino, Sbisa, and picks.

-Dallas acquires Spezza from Montreal for Chiasson, others, and a 2nd round pick.
-Avs acquire Briere for Parenteau and a late pick.
-Predators acquire James Neal for Spaling and Hornqvist.
-Marian Gaborik re-signs with Kings.
-Ryan Miller to Canucks via UFA.
-Paul Stastny to the Blues via UFA.
-Jarome Iginla to the Avs via UFA.
-Dan Boyle to the NYR.
-Brad Richards to the Blackhawks.
-Vanek to the Minnesota Wild.
-Robidas to the Maple Leafs.
-Niskanen to the Caps via UFA.

Feel free to add other moves and I'll do my best to update.

Maybe just a little more offense and depth... granted, they're showing some of both tonight.

Cool to see Forsberg become a force, too... watched him in the World Juniors and have picked him up in my past couple of NHL franchises.

Love Forsberg, drafted him on my dynasty team when he was still with Washington and them trading him to the Preds made me even happier with that pick. As for Weber, he is out for the next two games.

Non-playoff thought. WTF Jarret Stoll?

You're banging Erin Andrews and you get nailed for coke/ecstasy in a FA year? What an idiot.

Just got back from the game, and I gotta say - only this team could suck the joy out of a 4-1 win.

WTF was that third period? These guys refuse to learn a ****ing lesson.

Glad they basically survived, but they have to get his shit cleaned up before Monday.

Was pretty comical watching people try to chuck their hat on the ice over the netting.

Now Edmonton's gonna dominate the West when they get a mediocre defensive corp.

Rough game for the Jets. Up almost the entire game, and lost it in the last 5 minutes. Game winner with 19 seconds left.

Ladd needs to start acting like a f#%!ing captain and step up his game. He's been nothing but a liability out on the ice this series.

I think the top line of the Jets have been a liability in the series. Kesler is having his worst two games of the year defensively and should be taken advantage of.

It's a good series, but I just don't think the Jets have the talent. They have the size, speed, a hot goalie but they need to start clicking or it could be a sweep.
