Yep. There is multiple foul calls on moving\bad screens every game. It was that way during the regular season as well.

Just such a dumbass statement to make. Have you even watched a single game in this series? LeBron has been the best player in it by far.

It is less likely to be called except that it was clearly a screen. And you know and I know that you have to be stationary if you're setting a screen.
Yep, agree with all of this. But watch pretty much any screen at the end of a game (or really at any time in the game) and you'll see players moving into it much like LeBron did. It's rarely called, especially in that kind of a situation.

Let's face it, if this game wasn't in Indiana, he wouldn't have gotten a foul there.

Maybe for Heat homer fans. The Pacers are damn good physical team.

Do those players step on the opponents foot?

If not, then your point is moot.

It is not rarely called when they make moving screen calls multiple times every game. Was it borderline? Possibly but he clearly tried to trip the guy.

It's not just a shoulder nudge or leaning the body slightly. It's extending his leg out and actually making contact by tripping the player. You have to make that call because he basically took a defender out of the play and because there was clear contact. And it's not just legs getting tangled. It's a last minute screen, which you see by him putting his arms down -- his wide stanced screen is questionable in the first place, but moving his legs and making contact, it's a clear-cut call.

Agreed. Kind of like holding in football. But LeBron's appeared to be obvious. Im surprised they called it, but thought the Pacers earned the win regardless

It is. Instead of watching the player with the ball one game, just spend the entire time watching players set screens and tell me the amount of times they are moving into them. It's almost rare to see a possession where such a screen doesn't occur. The refs only call a tiny fraction of what actually goes on.

He wasn't clearly trying to do anything other than setting a screen in the same way that he usually does in such situations. Unfortunately for him, though, Stephenson stepped on his foot while he was doing it making it more obvious and the game was in Indiana thus ensuring the foul.

I think they may likely have won it anyway and that would have been fine. They would have deserved it. But a foul out of LeBron on a play like that is kind of an ugly way for that game to end.

I don't disagree that it happens alot. I like the analogy Rudy made, it is like holding in the NFL, it happens every play but the refs only call the most obvious one. But it isn't a rare call like backing down for 5 seconds, they make this call every game and usually more than once.

You should go find the slo-mo version TNT showed, he clearly stuck out his foot to trip the defender it was pretty obvious. He tried to get away with it but he got caught. Way it goes.
