they also traded for Evan Turner another "clown" not on the court but definitely in the locker room so the fans by the end of the season just adjusted expectations fans are probably upset that the clown player in question was groomed for 3 years by the Pacers to be as good as he is. the front office and Larry Bird spent a lot of time and resources making Stephenson from a 2nd round pick scrub at the end of the bench to a stat filling borderline all star player, and the project sand castle gets crushed cause of his attitude. Fans would be upset with that because the team groomed a guy for three years for one season of good play and a shitty attitude and now another team can choose to overpay him and the Pacers have to decide if it be worth it to match. Indy just gets to turn to Andrew Luck anyway so they just shrug their shoulders and move on to the NFL playoffs because they are garunteed a spot almost. |

Rodman did much of the same ridiculous shit Stephenson did on court. Most people still loved the Bulls anyway because they had MJ and were winners. And you can say the same for many other players over the years.
The difference is the Pacers ran into the wall that is LeBron James, who completely outclassed every one of them and was unfazed by the antics (making them look even more juvenile and petty). If they actually worked and LeBron failed, there would be a much different narrative I'm sure. |

There was clearly locker room dissension, but it's hard to understand exactly what happened. Hibbert didn't even seem to try in the playoffs for more than a few games in the postseason. He looked like a completely different player than last year against the Heat. In fact, Lance Stephenson, the guy who initiated most of the antics against the Heat, was probably the only player on the entire team that gave a consistent effort over the playoffs. Perhaps the best way I could describe it is that they ceased being a true team around mid-season and became a bunch of individuals playing basketball for themselves.

What a hilarious level of ignorance (especially considering the two teams playing in the final series, the Spurs and the Heat, couldn't be any further removed from stupid antics and me first basketball). I suddenly can empathize with how you feel when dipshits here enter soccer threads to bash the sport without knowing or understanding any of it.

Cool stat of the day. Spurs passed the ball 520 more times in their half court offense than the Thunder.
I think that shows that OKC needs a true PG and move RW to the 2 and play off the ball more. |

Stephenson needs to tone it down a bit, but I'd take him in a minute.
