Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs
Well, it looks like the deal is done.
https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed Jay Glazer @JayGlazer 49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith Jay Glazer @JayGlazer Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith. |

You know nothing of the guy. You dont know the stuff he has been through in 8 years. To you its simple. Hes a bust, he never lived up to his potential blah blah blah. His perseverance and ability to over come what was the worst organization in football for 6 years, to find some success, while always taking the high road, and being the ultimate teammate, and professional, its admirable. I dont expect anyone else to feel the way I do. but nit picking something you really arent invested in, is a waste of time.

Alex is not a huge risk taker, but if he has to make a play, he will.

im invested in the Chiefs wasting things on a shitty investment that is going to make me waste investing the next 3 to 4 years watching them
so yes, the invest affects me, I dont care his story to know his red flags as a player, durability, noodle arm, cant bring a team back from a huge deficit, he's deep ball accuracy, etc. he may be a smart nice guy with a great charity but hes totally limited by his physical skill set and that football IQ/awful physical tools doesnt fly anymore in the NFL, its not the 80s or 90s anymore. You win with fast or big QBs with strong arms and good pocket awareness, Alex Smith is NONE of that. |

ill talk to you in january when the team finishes 6-10 and everyone wants this crappy QB cut and the FO fired after another depressing season with high expectations and tons of homerism going into it.

You guys keep talking about his inability to throw the deep ball. Who the hell was he supposed to be throwing to? he had absolutely zero problem finding vernon davis, anywhere on the field, and matter of fact, vernons favorite route was the seem route which alex throws easily. he hit randy moss 55 yards in stride in the giants game this year. Found Crabtree vs the bills 30 yards down field against the bills. He didnt have deep threats until this year. Crabtree is certainly not a deep threat. And even with Colin, randy moss didnt get many deep balls thrown to him. Okay i get it, but who was he supposed to be throwing deep to?
