I remember Steve Doll. I think he had a short run in either World Class or Mid-South. Fairly telented guy, just kind of had a look that had been done already ad nauseum in the southern territories. Well Dunn was ok, but unfortunately the tag team scene in the WWF at the time was loaded with GREAT teams. RIP.

This weekend at the 7th Anniversary shows, two ROH stars came back home. The first was Jimmy Rave, as they are recreating the Embassy stable with Prince Nana as the manager. And the second was the one and only recently future-endeavoured Colt Cabana. Welcome home, Colt.
Now ROH just needs Paul London to come back home and the talent roster will be ridiculous, which is good because I can see WWE and/or TNA grabbing away guys like Nigel McGuinness and Claudio Castagnoli in the next year or so. |

The Embassy ruled...I love it that they're bringing it back.

Yeah, it was a great heel group with Jimmy Rave, Alex Shelley, Prince Nana, sometimes Abyss. Right now it is Prince Nana, Jimmy Rave, Bison Smith (big dude who has been in NOAH for awhile) and Dirty Ernie Osiris as the "flagbearer" (he's a former ROH student).
Great heel factions are always good for a wrestling promotion. Face factions I don't care so much about, but strong heel factions are a must. |

They gave Claudio a look already, a year or two ago. He didn't make it as far as Colt Cabana.

From what I remember, it was visa problems, not talent problems that stopped the deal last time. The guy has what they usually look for, he is pretty big and can work. Plus, he's got the great smarmy european asshole heel thing going.

Personally, I think that's one thing they're really, really missing: foreign heels. Of the serious variety, not santino... |

The first ROH show I attended was right in the middle of that feud that featured an 8-man tag. Gen Next had Austin Aries, Jack Evans, Matt Sydal and AJ Styles vs. the Embassy team of Jimmy Rave, Alex Shelley, Prince Nana and Abyss. Not a bad collection of talent in one match.
