No, but that’s the way they will have him bow out gracefully.

The whole organization respects Dan a lot more than the fans do because they see the work he’s had to put in to even be a respectable defender through most of his career here while making game changing plays in a lot of big games. He’s also been a great teammate his whole time here.

nah, he's pretty much always sucked. At his BEST he was JAG. But in reality, he's been a guy that blows several plays per game with bad angles and missed tackles for years now. He's just had a knack for making a big play at a big moment.

that doesn't erase the half dozen to dozen shitstreaks per game.

I love you man but vulturing a pick on a 50/50 ball (at best, he wasn't manned up on the guy) doesn't make Dan good.

Thornhill was sitting there waiting on that armpunt, too. It was a prayer.

This, I was happy as a Chiefs fan, and I don't wish him ill, that had to feel good for him...but it doesn't negate the objective stats that he has hit a steep decline...and he was always an overachiever at best.

The pressure they are starting to generate helps the secondary for sure, but as soon as they face a stout O-line, or an offense that adjusts to that pressure the DD targeting will continue and what evidence do we have that the pattern of burnt toast won't continue again?

We need to see more Watts in those third down situations...it doesn't have to be every time, but how will they know unless they try? Statistically it can't get worse.

Old Dan Sorensen was a fine old man
washed his face with a frying pan
He combed his hair, with his hand
and fought for the Chiefs, in this land

Get out of the way, Old Dan Sorensen
you’re too late and a has been
Get out of the way, Old Dan Sorensen
you’re too late and a has been

Old Dan Sorensen came to town
He’s always ready to give a beat down
BYU said, he’s now yours
but at times, he craps his drawers

Get out of the way, Old Dan Sorensen
you’re too late and a has been
Get out of the way, Old Dan Sorensen
you’re too late and a has been

Old Dan Sorensen, he’s smart as hell
or in the right place, we cannot tell
When a red-hot coal gets in his ass
Teams can’t run and they cannot pass

Get out of the way, Old Dan Sorensen
you’re too late and a has been
Get out of the way, Old Dan Sorensen
you’re too late and a has been

Now Old Dan Sorensen comes to town
swinging them Cowboys all round
first to the left and then to the right
Then to the Dak with all his might

Get out of the way, Old Dan Sorensen
you’re too late and a has been
Get out of the way, Old Dan Sorensen
you’re too late and a has been

It is a love hate relationship with Daniel Sorensen as a Chiefs fan.

You love him when he drops Ryan Tannehill dead in his tracks on a run or stops a Texans fake punt.

You hate him when he gets beat on a long pass where he can't keep up.

Some of that is the fault of the coaching. They know his limitations and should not put him in to defend players one-on-one with his limited speed.

His snap count has been reduced, so that is a good thing.

Literally NOBODY, not even Chief Fan, is dumb enough to think this makes Dan "good."
