Clark Hunt met with Marty?

http://www.kctv5.com/story/20058706/...schottenheimer

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Chiefs fans are excitedly buzzing about whether team owner Clark Hunt is preparing to offer former coach Marty Schottenheimer the general manager position or get his help on reversing the team's declining fortunes.

SiriusXM NFL Radio reported that Schottenheimer was at Arrowhead Stadium on Friday to meet with Hunt, who is in Kansas City. This set Chiefs fans on Twitter and Facebook afire.

The team flatly denies that Schottenheimer was at the practice facility today.

However, left unclear was whether Schottenheimer and Hunt met at a different location, met earlier this week or whether they have a meeting later this week.

General Manager Scott Pioli is under fire after the Chiefs 1-7 start and a disappointing four-year tenure in Kansas City after he left the New England Patriots.

Tell us what you think. Should the Chiefs bring back "Martyball" or hire Schottenheimer as a consultant? Go to

By the time Herm left, the team was on a forward trajectory. Don't blame Herm that Pioli fumbled that opportunity.

We got rid of Herm 2 years too early, another 2 years of good drafting and we might of had a better chance of having a good team for the next HC.

Herm was a pretty good judge of defensive talent, if in fact he had anything to do with it. He also turned a pretty good offense into a giant pile of shit.

Nice to know.

I had a lot on my plate during those years and didn't really follow all the teams in the NFL...mainly the division teams.

I still find it hard to believe that so many of you discredit Vermiel for his offenses.

Put a middle of the pack defense on this team in 2003 or 2005 and this team would have had a damn good chance at winning a superbowl. Shit, I still think that if the Chiefs signed Ty Law one year earlier (in 2005) we might have taken that 6th playoff spot from Pittsburgh and won it all...oh well)

Dick should have stayed around for one more year and Herm should have been hired as the DC to replace Gunther.

The way that changeover happened was total clown shoes.

No one disagreed with you on Herman ****ing Edwards' role in blowing up the team for a freash start, you dipshit.

What we diagreed with your dumb ass on was the idea that he should have been allowed to continue to coach this team.

I'm not discrediting him for the offense, though I do think he fell ass over kettle inot a couple of unexpected players.

I am not, however going to give him credit for team success when the team failed.

This. I lurked once in awhile here and posted over and over on the coalition at the time that the team needed blown up and built through the draft from the ground up.

Its just a shame that Piolis pussy ass decided to **** that effort up as soon as he showed up and traded for the poor mans Elvis Grbac.

Instead, he oversaw the worst draft in Franchise History and set this team back four years.
Fair enough, but Asszilla and his love for everything Herm can go **** himself.

I am sick of him telling us how he can control his gag reflex when it comes to swallowing Herm...

You're revising history. I took a LOT of shit for saying Herm was right to blow up the team. A lot.

And I said he should be given one more year in 2009 and if the team wasn't a deep playoff team in 2009, he should be fired. I stand by that. And my sense is, Chunt felt really, really bad that he fired Herm even though Herm did the right thing.

Umm... no. It's your pure hatred that makes you think that.

You can go ahead and look at the history. I said over and over again he's a bad game day coach. I said he was a perfect coach for the rebuild and should be fired as soon as the team was built. And I was right about that. He made decisions I don't think many coaches would have had the balls to make.
