Normally I'd go with the professional journalist over your dumb ass... but Mellinger comes across as the type who uses white out on his monitor... so this is entirely possible.

IIRC, Jeff Allen was a very good OT at Illinois. That's what I heard when we drafted him.

I agree but I don't think he takes less than $10 mil a year.

He just had his knee scoped and missed some time in '11, but for the most part plays through the pain. I think he will be the most affordable RT available; the guy is an all pro RT, he just doesn't get the name recognition as other players. Brady will be pooping bricks if the Pats let him go (and they probably will).

pretty much seals it that the 1st pick is going to be a OT
Albert at LT and Draftee at RT for a year and then let albert go next year and move draftee to LT.

I'd rather see 8 or 9 MM go towards an area of need such as safety or corner then it be committed to an injury prone RT, that's all i meant. Its not my money so i dont give a shit how much they pay anyone.

Albert (right NOW) is top 12.. top 8 AT BEST.. but that is based on a pretty crappy history (2nd and 3rd years) that Reid may see past. Milkman is set on the idea that Albert has a long way left to ascend, and Albert did have a very solid year last year, if Reid feels that way then he's pretty much "high end."

And second of all, the overall ranking is deceptive. Albert is one of the best pass blockers in the NFL by every metric on that site. But mellinger seems to be trying to convince people he's mediocre. No.
