Video Games Madden NFL 09 - Page 22

Who is going to get this when it comes out???? Last year's version was really disappointing so I will be sure to rent Madden 09 first before buying it.

Got it today.
Got through the Madden IQ and jumped straight into the franchise with the Chiefs. Have played 3 games going 0-3. 17-10, 21-0, 10-3.

Some thoughts: I haven't played Madden since 05 and the old console. Still trying to learn controls on the fly compared to what "I'm used to". Thought I was decent against the Pat's. Having extreme difficulties on offense(can't tell if it's me or the team) and OK on defense except for the big play(definitely me).

I am impressed with the franchise mode...love playing that mode.

I absolutely hate online. Recievers always stopping to catch a crossing pattern. Punt returners won't fair catch it, causing a fumble. I have scored 7 points in 14 quarters. I must really suck. Players just throw it up 30 yards downfield and there is a huge chance there will be a PI call.

Grrr, Jumped out to a 14-0 lead against the Donkeys. Brodie ended up with 6 ints(3 in the last minute) in a 28-14 loss. Was down 21-14 with a minute left.

I was more disgusted by the offensive line than anything. Although the catching animation on the second video is godawful.

I'm sure one of my friends will buy the game, so I'll be able to play it and form a solid opinion, but I have NCAA, and I don't think the animations look that bad...

although they may.
