For as much as ballwashers like Hud talk about depth, the Royals have absolutely none.
so wouldn't it be smart to AT LEAST TRY platooning Tejada and Gordon at 3rd, call up Dyson, and send down Moose?!

It's not ****ing rocket science.

No. We would be moving one of the best defensive LF's in the game to a position where he was merely mediocre.

For a power hitting LF, this move maybe makes sense.

But for Jarrod Dyson?

Nah, man. Just nah.

At this point, a bit of experimentation wouldn't be ridiculous. 3._ RPG isn't going to win over the course of the rest of the season.

Bats play. Period.

I realize that the Royals PR machine is fully hitting on "pitching and defense," but they're ****ing stupid, as usual.

Parlay this resurgence into a meaningful summer, no matter what it takes...

I'm willing to bet it is less than 5.

God you're dumb.

Most of you are just so ignorant about baseball it scares me.
Try 7.

No, I'd say that you're so ignorant about baseball that it's kind of getting old. I'll be honest with you. We were having a really fun time talking about the Royals here, while they were beating the shit out of the Tampa Bay Rays, and guess when this thread started going downhill?

You. Yes. You. You are getting up there with ChiefsOrioles or whatever that's stooge's name is level. You don't weaken two defensive spots just to get another career .250 batter on the line up.

Firmly grab at the bottom of your ear, and pull at a downward motion to get your head out of your ass, and maybe you'll finally realize how of a narcissistic asshole you are towards everybody. Because if there's one good thing you are thus far, the only thing you have schooled anyone on is the finer points of being an insecure asshole.

So stop pressing your luck on here, because the way your luck have been going, if you won a pussy in a raffle, it would already have a cock in it.

The numbers suggest that a gold glove LFer is worth about the same as an average 3B. Admittedly, I thought these wouldn't be equal, but they are. I thought the absence of "small ball" had mitigated the importance of 3B, but the numbers say otherwise.

Thus, we'd be best served to get the best offensive lineup playing, while retaining a good defense, which we probably would.

There was a guy on KC radio a couple of weeks ago who called in, "I been in baseball for 45 years, and what we need to do is send Dyson to the minors for a month to learn to play 2B ..."

If you want to send Moose down, then play Tejada at 3rd with Johnson platooning. I would not pull Gordon from LF just so ****ing Dyson can play everyday.

What has Dyson done this year that has peeps gargling his nutsack?

Personally, the line up we have today was perfect for it. I'm more of wanting to get another bat, through trade for the 3rd base side. I can handle Johnson being the 2nd basemen over Getz. And Lough replacing Francouer.

While it's still terrible, it's still an improvement. If KC can get a 3rd baseman who can hit for a shit.....

Devil's advocate says that Dyson's OBP is a ****ing wreck, and I still say that his baseball instincts are subpar.

I'd be good with this type of move, too.

We simply cannot keep playing Moose or ****ing ancient, non-juiced Tejada. Hell, I'd rather see Gio for the time being, while we try to look for something else, therefore giving Gio time to try to justify his spot.
