ESPN's 32% ratings crash - layoffs happening

I watch it quite a bit because I love college basketball and watch the MLB during the summer. Also I think the 30-For-30 movies are all quite good. So I'm watching more than I ever have, but apparently nobody else is:

First take and the show with Lebatard and his dad are perfect examples of why ESPN now sucks. Nobody wants to watch that shit. It's terrible, boring television.

And SC isn't fun anymore. Only SVP really appeals to people nowadays bc he seems like a solid talent ready to take off.

As far as the NFL goes, NFL Network beats the living shit out of ESPN. Mike Mayock, Rich Eisen and Daniel Jeremiah are awesome for draft content. ESPN simply can't compete there and it's a huge loss for them considering people love the NFL draft process from the senior bowl to the combine to draft day.

Then you have Kurt Warner, LaDanian Tomlinson, Terrell Davis and Michael Robinson who are good former players with enough entertainment and intelligence to captivate an audience whereas Trent Dilfer, Ray Lewis and Herm Edwards are terrible, and so is the Monday night countdown crew outside of Tom Jackson.
Also consider that the teaming of CBS has really done NFLN a lot of good as well. Having Bill Cowher and Tony G join your team is a huge huge boost.

Oh, and last but not least, looking at Erin Coacarelli on TV is a luxury everyone will agree with.

NFLN obliterates ESPNon NFL coverage.

Basketball ****ing sucks now. Seriously, compare March Madness to the days when great players stayed 3 or 4 years. It isn't even close. Those same players now get to the NBA and usually scrub it up in the developmental league until they are ready. There is a reason more and more talent is coming from overseas.

Basketball is much better during the tourney and the NBA playoffs.

The regulars seasons suck in college and the pros.

The college game is complete garbage. They need to change the rules. I realize that means that that the "elite" teams will destroy the smaller colleges but the games were just painful to watch last year.

The NBA regular season is too long, IMO, but the playoffs are awesome. And it's never boring to actually attend an NBA game. These guys are the most amazing athletes in the world and it's insane to see them in person, especially court side.

If you've never had the pleasure, I'd highly recommend it. You'll be blown away watching 6'11 dudes running up and down the court with the grace of a gazelle. It's an amazing sight.

Lol. People on this thread actually believe basketball is on the decline? I get that Missouri doesn't have a basketball team but... Wow. I hear this LeBrim James and Stephen curdy are kind of popular

The NBA is fantastic right now. The reason you don't see it is because KC doesn't have a team, and i totally get it. The league is packed with talent, and the kids play hard. The NBA is at a much higher quality level than the NFL today. If you don't see it you just like football a lot more than basketball which is fine.

I heard this Stephen curdy is kind of good. I don't know, nobody is really talking about him. Underrated player.

Steph Curry, Lebron James, Anthony Davis, and Kevin Durant. 4 players with skill sets never seen before playing in the league at the same time. Any other sport would kill to have that going on. The NBA not being what it used to be is ****ing insane talk. Sure the season is too long and it doesn't heat up until the playoffs, but you can be extremely entertained watching the NBA. If you aren't entertained watching the Warriors play right now you 100% hate basketball which again is fine.
