It was from earlier in the season. i think they had tasked the little birds with digging up info on the High Sparrow.

Not sure I do. That dude that the mountain ripped his head off of plugged him in the chest with a mase. It obviously punctured his armor. He walked around with holes in it. Not sure how he isn't dead. WTF is Sandor supposed to besides lop his head off?

It will be like when Connor had to take down the Kurgan. There can be only one... Clegane.

Does anyone else feel like the audience is being purposely mislead just for the sake of creating conversation or suspense that isn't organic to the story?
Arya's story in the last two episodes is a good example. Why bother breaking her story up into two episodes and having her get the actress killed if she is just going to be injured again before fighting the girl. The only reason would be to make us think there is no way she is dumb enough to walk around carelessly, especially given how we saw her hiding in her hole. This gives us time between episodes to think about things and then within this new episode you are wondering the whole time where is the twist. But that never comed and it turns out to be the case anyways that Arya was not being careful or watchful which is not her character. She would have at least had her sword if she was walking around. They should have continued the fight after she got out of the water and had her go to her little cave then without the extra day and scene with the actress. |

That too, two epic fights done off camera so we could save time to watch two little girls playing tag. Also the killing of the lady actress. She's standing on a chair, an attacker appears, the next thing we see is Arya walking into the room and the lady actress is dead on the chair. Episodes like this make me look back with criticism about what they did choose to show and spend time on. Oh-don't forget we got the episode's 30 seconds of drama from Dany. Rushing into the room and standing there. So terribly exciting. I know we'd like to see the ensuing conversation but there wasn't enough time to put that in after the other three sat around telling fart jokes for 45 minutes.

The actress sewed her up though. Plus Arya didn't get her killed, she was doomed like the waif said. Arya just got her tortured a bit.
The Arya story doesn't bother me as much as some of you, but it's been better in the books IMO. Especially with
Spoiler!

By the way, this is the joke that the (P)imp stole if you aren't familiar with it. Being a Scot who has been surrounded by Irish and English on many occasion I am quite familiar with it myself:
An Englishman, an Irishman, and Scot are drinking in a bar. A fly lands in the Englishman's pint. The Englishman is incensed, and pushes his beer away and orders another. A fly lands in the Irishman's man's pint. The Irishman man looks at the fly, shrugs, and just drinks the fly down. A fly lands in the Scot's pint. The Scot is furious. He picks out the fly, and violently shakes the fly over his pint glass while screaming, "Spit it oot ya wee bastard!" |

Without a doubt. Looks like Cleganebowl is a definite no go as well. Seems like they have really dropped the ball after such a build up with Bran not having him on screen at all recently.
Mereen, awful. Braavos, awful. Tommen, bordering on unwatchable any scene he is in. Riverrun, extremely anti-climatic. Sure hope D and D don't shit the bed the next two weeks... |
